Jordan Shoe Size Chart: US, UK, EU & Foot Length Guide (Men, Women & Kids)

Quick answer: Jordan shoes use Nike’s size chart, so your Nike size is your Jordan size. A men’s 9 is a women’s 10.5, UK 8 and EU 42.5, and Nike lists a foot length of 10 5/16 in (26.2 cm) for it.
- Women’s size = men’s size + 1.5. Men’s 7 = women’s 8.5.
- UK = US men’s minus 1 from men’s 7 up, and minus 0.5 below that (men’s 6.5 = UK 6, men’s 7 = UK 6).
- Between two sizes? Nike says to size up.
- The CM/JP number on the tag (27 for a men’s 9) is a label, not your foot length. Your foot is shorter than that number.
Jordan Size Finder: Enter Your Size or Foot Length
Uses Nike’s men’s, women’s and kids’ charts, which Jordan follows. Converts US, UK, EU, cm and inches.
Foot length mode picks the smallest size whose listed foot length is at least as long as your foot, which follows Nike’s “size up if you are between sizes” rule. For other brands, use our shoe size conversion calculator.
Men to women
+ 1.5Jordan men’s 8 = women’s 9.5. Tags show both, for example “M 9 / W 10.5”.
US to UK
-1From men’s 7 up: men’s 9 = UK 8. Below men’s 7 the gap is 0.5.
Half size
3/16 inAbout 5 mm of foot length per half size. If between sizes, size up.
Jordan Shoe Size Chart
Jordan Brand is part of Nike, and the “Size Guide” link on a Jordan product page opens Nike’s own size and fit pages. So the chart below is Nike’s, copied on October 30, 2026. These are the sizes you see most often.

Jordan Men’s Size Chart (US, UK, EU, CM and Foot Length)
Use this chart when you are shopping in the men’s section of nike.com or in men’s sizes elsewhere. Foot length is the length of foot each size fits. Nike publishes it in inches, and we converted it to centimeters (inches x 2.54, rounded to 0.1).

Jordan Women’s Size Chart
This is Nike’s women’s chart. Women’s size equals men’s size plus 1.5, so a women’s 10.5 is a men’s 9.
Why the women’s and men’s tables are separate: Nike’s women’s and men’s pages do not agree to the half size for the same pair. For example, a women’s 8 and a men’s 6.5 are the same size on both charts, but Nike’s women’s page gives UK 5.5, a CM/JP label of 25 and a foot length of 9 11/16 in, while the men’s page gives UK 6, a label of 24.5 and 9 1/2 in. We show both charts exactly as Nike publishes them. Use the table that matches the section of nike.com you are shopping in, and size up if you are between sizes.

Jordan Men’s to Women’s Size Conversion
Add 1.5 to go from men’s to women’s, and subtract 1.5 to go the other way.
Jordan styles are sold as men’s, women’s and kids’ versions, and many people buy across sections. Pick the size from the chart for the section you are buying from. Our men’s to women’s conversion guide covers every size.
Jordan Kids’ Size Chart (Toddler, Little Kid and Big Kid)
Nike’s kids’ chart runs from toddler 1C to big kid 7Y. Retail listings often shorten these groups to TD (toddler), PS (preschool) and GS (grade school). Retailers commonly use GS for 3.5Y to 7Y, but check each store’s own labels.
Nike’s big kid sizes carry the men’s number, so a 7Y matches a men’s 7 (UK 6, EU 40). That is why teens and small adults can move from GS into men’s or women’s sizes. See our kids’ shoe size chart and youth sizes for other brands.

How to Read the Jordan Size Chart
- US Men / US Women: the two numbers on a Jordan tag, for example “M 9 / W 10.5”. They describe the same shoe.
- UK: Nike’s UK size is 0.5 below US men’s up to men’s 6.5, and 1 below from men’s 7.
- EU: European size. Steps are uneven (42, 42.5, 43, 44), so read the row rather than adding a fixed number.
- CM/JP label: the centimeter size printed on the shoe. It is not your foot length. A men’s 9 is labelled 27, but the foot it fits is 26.2 cm.
- Foot length: the foot each size fits. Nike publishes it in inches, and we show the centimeter equivalent.
Example: a men’s 9 is a women’s 10.5, UK 8, EU 42.5, labelled 27, and fits a 10 5/16 in (26.2 cm) foot.
Are Jordans True to Size?
For most people, yes: order the size you wear in Nike. Hibbett’s sizing guide (November 2024) says Jordans run the same as Nike, and that high, mid and low tops all follow your usual size. The exceptions are individual models that fit snugger or roomier, covered in the fit by model table.
Why do some Jordans feel tight? Three reasons come up most:
- Narrow forefoot on some models. Nike’s own Air Jordan 4 guide says the men’s version is narrower at the metatarsals, and that the women’s toe box is tighter than in some other sneakers.
- Stiff materials. Nike notes the Air Jordan 4 may need a short break-in period. Loosening the laces helps while it does.
- Reading the label as foot length. The CM/JP number is larger than your foot. Do not try to match your foot to it.
Jordan Size vs Nike, Converse, Vans and adidas
- Jordan vs Nike: identical charts. Nike makes both, so your Nike size carries over. See our Nike shoe size chart.
- Jordan vs Converse: Converse Chuck Taylors run large, so most people take about half a size smaller in Converse than in Jordan. See our Converse shoe size chart.
- Jordan vs Vans: most people wear the same US size. Vans lists a longer foot length for the same label, so do not read Vans’ chart against a tape measure without checking your usual size. See our Vans shoe size chart.
- Jordan vs adidas: same US size for men, but adidas prints its UK size half a size higher (US 9 = UK 8.5, versus UK 8 for Jordan). See our adidas shoe size chart.
Jordan Fit by Model: Jordan 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12 and 13
Every Jordan uses the same size chart, but each model is built differently. The only model-specific advice from Nike itself is for the Air Jordan 4. For the rest, we use Hibbett’s guide, a retailer, and label it Reported so you can tell it apart from Nike official.
| Model | Fit advice | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Air Jordan 1 | True to size. | Reported Hibbett |
| Air Jordan 3 | True to size. Hibbett suggests half a size up if you have narrow feet, to avoid a snug fit. | Reported Hibbett |
| Air Jordan 4 | True to size. Go half a size up for wider feet. The men’s version is narrower at the metatarsals (consider half up if you usually wear a C or D width), and the women’s toe box is tighter. The SB and “Reimagined” versions are true to size for standard and wide feet. | Nike official |
| Air Jordan 5 | Wider than some others. If you are unsure or have narrow feet, try half a size down first. | Reported Hibbett |
| Air Jordan 6 | Bigger, wider and bulkier. Good for wide feet, otherwise half a size down. | Reported Hibbett |
| Air Jordan 7 | Roomier fit. Consider half a size down, especially for narrow feet. | Reported Hibbett |
| Air Jordan 8 | True to size. If you are in between, size up. | Reported Hibbett |
| Air Jordan 9 | Boot-like and can feel snug. Size up slightly for a looser fit. | Reported Hibbett |
| Air Jordan 11 | True to size with a more generous fit through the body. Narrow feet may try half a size down. | Reported Hibbett |
| Air Jordan 12 | Slightly snug like the 9. Half a size up for wider feet, otherwise your normal size. | Reported Hibbett |
| Air Jordan 13 | True to size. | Reported Hibbett |
Hibbett’s guide is dated November 2024, and fit changes between releases and colorways. These notes are guides, not guarantees. Retailers also disagree with each other on some models, so try a pair on when you can.
Jordan 1 size
The Air Jordan 1 comes as High, Mid and Low. Hibbett says all three follow your usual size, so a men’s 9 in a Nike sneaker is a men’s 9 in a Jordan 1. Wide feet may want half a size up.
Jordan 4 size
This is the one model with official Nike advice. Take your usual size for a standard foot, go half up for a wide foot, and loosen the laces during break-in.
Jordan 12 size
Hibbett calls the Air Jordan 12 slightly snug. If you are choosing between two sizes or have wider feet, take the larger one.
Jordans for Wide and Narrow Feet
Nike says its wide sizes have about 1/4 in (6 mm) more toe box girth than standard widths. Width options vary by style, so check the width choices on the product page before you order.
- Wide feet: half a size up is the common advice for Jordan 1, 4, 12 and others in the table above. Models Hibbett calls roomy (5, 6, 7) may suit you at your usual size.
- Narrow feet: the roomier models (5, 6, 7, 11) may fit better half a size down, according to Hibbett.
- Tight across the toes but the right length? You need width, not length. Our shoe width guide shows how to check.
How to Measure Your Feet for Jordans
- Put a sheet of paper on a hard floor with one edge against a wall.
- Stand on it with your heel against the wall, wearing the socks you will wear with your Jordans.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe. It is not always the big toe.
- Measure from the wall to the mark in centimeters or inches.
- Repeat for the other foot and use the longer one.
- Enter it in the size finder. It rounds up to the next size, as Nike advises.
Measure in the evening, when feet are at their largest. Our guide to measuring your foot at home has a printable ruler.
What If You Are Between Two Jordan Sizes?
- Nike’s rule: if you are between sizes, size up.
- Half sizes are real. One half size is 3/16 in (about 5 mm) of foot length, and it is enough to change how a snug model such as the Jordan 9 or 12 feels.
- Thick socks or loose lacing: loose lacing can ease a tight forefoot, as Nike notes for the Jordan 4.
- Roomy models (5, 6, 7): the smaller of your two sizes may suit you, according to Hibbett.
Our men’s half size guide and women’s half size guide go deeper.
Common Jordan Sizing Mistakes to Avoid
- Reading the CM/JP label as foot length. A men’s 9 is labelled 27 but fits a 26.2 cm foot.
- Mixing up M and W on the tag. A “W 8” is a men’s 6.5.
- Using the wrong chart. Nike’s women’s and men’s pages differ by half a size for the same pair, so use the chart for the section you are buying from.
- Mixing up US and UK. A UK 8 is a US men’s 9.
- Treating every model the same. A Jordan 6 and a Jordan 12 do not fit alike.
- Sizing up for width on a roomy model. Check the fit-by-model table first.
How we checked these numbers
- Size charts: copied from Nike’s men’s, women’s and kids’ footwear size and fit pages on October 30, 2026. We confirmed that Jordan uses them by opening the “Size Guide” link on a Jordan product page, which leads to Nike’s men’s chart. Nike’s UK men’s page has an identical table.
- Foot length: Nike publishes it in inches. We converted to centimeters (inches x 2.54) and rounded to 0.1.
- Model advice: Nike’s own Air Jordan 4 sizing guide, plus Hibbett’s Air Jordan sizing guide (November 2024), labelled as reported fit.
- Wide fit: Nike’s size guide. Its extra-wide figure differs between its US and UK pages, so we do not quote one.
Frequently Asked Questions About Jordan Shoe Sizes
Do Jordans run true to size?
Mostly yes. Jordans use Nike’s size chart, and retailers such as Hibbett say to order your usual Nike size. Some models fit snugger (Jordan 9, 12) or roomier (Jordan 5, 6, 7), so check the fit by model table.
Should I size up or down in Jordan 1?
Neither by default. Hibbett says the Air Jordan 1 is true to size. If you have wide feet, half a size up gives more room, and if you are between sizes Nike says to size up.
What size is 7 in Jordans?
A men’s 7 is a women’s 8.5, UK 6 and EU 40, labelled 25 and fitting a 9 11/16 in (24.6 cm) foot. A women’s 7 is a men’s 5.5. A big kid’s 7Y matches a men’s 7.
Does a 0.5 shoe size make a difference?
Yes. A half size is 3/16 in, about 5 mm of foot length. That is enough to change how a snug model feels, which is why Nike says to size up when you are between sizes.
Why do Jordans fit so tight?
Some models are narrow in the forefoot (Nike says the men’s Jordan 4 is narrower at the metatarsals and the women’s toe box is tighter), and some need a break-in period. Retailers also call the Jordan 9 and 12 snug. Loosening the laces and going half a size up for wide feet usually helps.
What is a men’s 9 in Jordans in women’s, UK and EU?
Women’s 10.5, UK 8 and EU 42.5, labelled 27, with a listed foot length of 10 5/16 in (26.2 cm).
How do Jordan women’s sizes convert to men’s?
Subtract 1.5. Women’s 8 = men’s 6.5, women’s 9 = men’s 7.5, women’s 10 = men’s 8.5.
What is the Jordan size chart in cm?
Nike’s chart prints a CM/JP label (27 for a men’s 9), but that is not your foot length. The foot length for a men’s 9 is 26.2 cm. Use the foot length column to match a tape measurement.
Do Jordans fit the same as Nike?
Yes. Jordan and Nike share one size chart, so your Nike size is your Jordan size.
Do Jordan 4s run big or small?
Nike says the Air Jordan 4 Retro generally fits true to size. It recommends half a size up for wider feet, and notes the men’s version is narrower at the metatarsals and the women’s toe box is tighter. The SB and “Reimagined” versions are true to size for standard and wide feet.
Do Jordan 12s run big?
Hibbett calls the Air Jordan 12 slightly snug, so it suggests half a size up for wider feet and your normal size otherwise.
What does GS mean on Jordans?
GS means grade school, the big kid range. Retailers commonly use it for 3.5Y to 7Y. TD means toddler and PS means preschool. Nike’s own chart uses toddler, little kid and big kid.
Can a woman wear Jordan GS sizes?
Yes. Nike’s big kid sizes carry the men’s number, and women’s size is men’s plus 1.5, so a 5Y is about a women’s 6.5. Check the chart row for your exact size.
Do Jordans come in wide sizes?
It depends on the style. Nike says its wide sizes have about 1/4 in (6 mm) more toe box girth. Check the width options on each product page.
Is Jordan sizing the same in the US, UK and EU?
No. A US men’s 9 is UK 8 and EU 42.5. Use the chart rather than adding a fixed number, because UK steps change at men’s 7 and EU steps are uneven.
Final Takeaway
Jordan sizing is simple once you know three rules: Jordan uses Nike’s chart, women’s = men’s + 1.5, and if you are between sizes, size up. Start from your usual Nike size, then adjust half a size for the model: down for the roomy 5, 6 and 7, up for the snugger 9 and 12 or for wide feet.
