How to Measure Your Foot for UGG

UGG’s measuring guide is short: trace your foot on a sheet of paper with your heel and longest toe against the line, mark the back of the heel and the tip of the toe, and measure the distance. Do it for both feet and use the larger measurement with the chart. UGG also describes a width measurement for wide sizes: measure from just below the ball of the foot to the outside, below the base of the pinky toe. Our how to measure foot size at home guide covers the same steps.

Do UGG Boots Run True to Size?

UGG says its boots and slippers run true to size, and that all its footwear is made true to size, although you may find that sizing up or down gives the best fit for some shoes. It adds that UGG footwear does not tend to run big, so it recommends using the measuring guide if you are between sizes. UGG does not publish a rule for sizing down in sheepskin boots, so we do not give one either. If you plan to wear thick socks, measure with the socks on and compare against the foot length column. Our shoe width guide explains how width letters work.

UGG Wide Sizes

UGG’s US page lists wide widths separately: women’s D widths from US 5 to 12 and men’s EEE widths from US 7 to 14, each with a ball width in inches. It does not publish a full width chart for every size on its sizing page, so check the product page for the width a style comes in.

Men’s vs Women’s UGG Sizes

UGG’s women’s US size is one higher than its men’s US size on the same foot length: both a women’s 10 and a men’s 9 are about 27 cm. UK and EU numbers differ between the tables, so read the table for the section you are buying from. For the general conversion, see our men’s to women’s conversion chart.

UGG Kids’, Toddler and Baby Sizes

UGG’s kids’ chart covers baby sizes from 3 to 24 months, toddler sizes 4T to 12T, and big kid sizes 13 to 6. Toddler sizes carry a T. The big kid sizes restart at 13, then 1 to 6, as on other US kids’ charts. Measure your child’s foot standing and recheck every few months. For general kids’ numbers, see our kids’ shoe size chart and baby shoe size conversion chart.

Comparing UGG With Other Brands

Do not copy a size from another brand without checking that brand’s chart. If you also wear Crocs, Birkenstock, HEYDUDE or Skechers, start from your measured foot length and read across to UGG’s chart.

How we checked these numbers

  • We copied the women’s and men’s adult tables from UGG’s official sizing information and checked sample rows against UGG’s US page: US 5, 7, 9 and 12 for women and US 4, 8 and 12 for men match on UK, EU and centimeters.
  • UGG’s EU page also lists a second women’s and men’s table with slightly different EU numbers for some sizes. We followed the table that matches UGG’s US page. UGG’s US page lists 9.5 in at women’s US 7, where the EU page lists 9.4 in.
  • Kids’, toddler and baby tables come from UGG’s EU sizing page. UGG’s own page does not label two adult tables, so we identified them by matching their rows to UGG’s labeled US page.
  • UGG says its footwear runs true to size and does not tend to run big. It publishes no rule for sizing down, so we did not invent one.
