Salomon Men’s Shoe Size Chart (US, UK, EU, JP)

Salomon publishes one unisex footwear chart with men’s and women’s US sizes side by side. This is the men’s view. Each row pairs a US size with its UK, EU and JP size and the foot length it is built for, in centimeters and inches. EU sizes use thirds (36 2/3, 37 1/3) as Salomon lists them.

Salomon Women’s Shoe Size Chart (US, UK, EU, JP)

Women’s sizes use the same UK, EU, JP and foot length values as the men’s chart, so only the US column changes. A women’s US 8.5 is the same size as a men’s US 7.5: UK 7, EU 40 2/3, JP 25.5, foot length 25 cm. Salomon Kids’ Shoe Size Chart

Salomon’s kids’ chart runs from US 9 (a 16 cm foot) up to US 8 (24.5 cm). Salomon lists UK kids’ sizes with a (Kid) label on the smaller sizes, and the numbers restart at 1 after US 13 and UK 13.5, the usual youth reset. Because kids’ feet grow quickly, measure again before each purchase.

How to Measure Your Foot for Salomon Shoes

Salomon’s own method uses paper and a wall: put a sheet of paper on the floor against a wall, wear the socks you normally wear with that type of shoe, stand with your heel against the wall, mark the paper just in front of your big toe, and do both feet. Do Salomon Shoes Run True to Size?

Salomon’s size guides do not publish a true to size or runs small rating, so we cannot give you an official one. What Salomon does say is useful. On running shoes, it puts toe room first: you want enough space between your toes and the end of the shoe. For hiking shoes it says to try them on at the end of the day with your usual socks, to leave about one finger of space behind your heel when your toes touch the front of the unlaced shoe, and, if you fall between two sizes, to choose the bigger one because your feet swell on the trail.

Salomon also says runners with wide feet might consider going up a size or looking for shoes offered in a wide width. The practical rule is to buy by your measured foot length, not by the size of your last pair, and to check the product page for the model you want.

Between Two Sizes? Use This Rule

If your foot length sits between two rows, Salomon’s advice is to take the larger size. Trail shoes need room for your foot to move forward on descents, and for swelling over a long day. If the shoe ends up slightly roomy, Salomon notes that an insole can take up the extra volume, while a shoe that is too small cannot be fixed. Men’s vs Women’s Salomon Sizes

Because Salomon uses a unisex chart, there is no change in length between a men’s and women’s size with the same UK, EU and JP numbers. The only thing that changes is the US label: women’s US is men’s US plus 1. For example, men’s US 9.5 and women’s US 10.5 are both UK 9, EU 43 1/3 and JP 27.5. Some models are made in men’s and women’s colorways on the same last, so check the product page when you are buying across genders.
