What is new on the LeBron 24

The big story is weight. Nike built a new upper called KingKnit, which is based on Flyknit but tuned just for LeBron. The weave is tighter near the laces for lockdown and more open lower down so air can move through. Nike backs the “lightest ever” claim by comparing the men’s size 9 launch pair against every LeBron signature game shoe from the first to the 23rd.

Underfoot you get full-length React foam, the same low-profile platform that arrived on the LeBron 23, only set lower so you sit closer to the floor. The midfoot shank is now a slim carbon fiber piece. Where the 23 used a more built-up external frame, the 24 trims that down and keeps the torsional support at a fraction of the weight. The outsole is slimmer too, with a widely spaced, indoor-focused tread that wraps up the inner side for extra bite on hard cuts.

The crown details are back. You will spot them on the metal throat clip, the tongue logo, the eye stays and the center line of the outsole, carrying the “Forever King” look forward from last year.

LeBron 24 versus the LeBron 23

If you wore last year’s shoe (our LeBron 23 LeBronto release story covers it), think of the 24 as the same cushioning idea with less hardware around it. The React platform is familiar, but the heavy containment frame is gone, the shank is leaner and the knit upper does more of the holding work. Expect a quicker, lower feel rather than a plush one.

Who it suits

Guards and wings who value speed, court feel and a light shoe will be the obvious audience, especially on indoor hardwood given the tread design. If you want a big, armored feel, this probably will not be your pair. Nike has not published fit notes for the 24, so check the size guidance on the product page once it goes live.

More colorways on the way

Nike says more colors follow after Stars, including a brushed metallic silver, an all-yellow pair, a rose-toned version and a multicolor Chinese New Year style. Dates for those have not been shared, so Stars on November 17 is the one to plan around.

Where to buy

The primary route is Nike.com and select retailers on November 17. Limited-demand launches can sell through quickly, so set your reminders and have your size and payment ready. If you want a LeBron on your feet before then, current-season options are easy to find.
